Backpages, Wish Granted: Bill Has Been Killed

by Backpageman on September 9, 2008

Earlier this summer, the bottom-feeders at the Post called for Billy Wagner’s head. Wish granted. Bill has been killed. TomorrowsBackpage.com looks back at the man Met fans hate to hate. A note of appreciation: Despite all the blown saves, Billy always took the time to Send It Up after a victory. A hollow gesture that was always appreciated on these pages. Good luck, Sandman*!

Make a left right after you go over the Bridge to Nowhere. You can’t miss them. Your Backpages….

Big night for the Metropolitans — and for the Backpages. After an overall poor performance yesterday, the Post bounces back with TAG & WAG. News and Newsday again mailed it in. Where have all the headline writers gone?
